The actress took onto Twitter to clarify the truth about Chelsea’s exit speculations.
In the recent tweet, she thanked everyone for all the love they have poured into the episode. She says that Chelsea is a really fun character to play, and she is very grateful for this opportunity. Then clarifying everything, Melissa says that despite the story, she is not leaving for her maternity leave for a while. There is much more story to tell. So, viewers are stuck with her for much longer. So, this is indeed good news for all the Chelsea fans.
As of the storyline, Chelsea recently gave an impressive performance in front of Rey of a mental breakdown. However, she was doing what Victor Newman had asked her to do. Viewers know that Victor was quite eager to clear off Adam’s name. So, he vowed that he would help Chelsea get a fresh start once she has spent some time at the psych hospital. So, as long as Victor sticks to his word, it looks like Chelsea will eventually be free and get a new beginning.
There is a possibility that this new beginning might get tied to Melissa’s actual maternity leave that is coming up. We will have to watch what happens there.
