The Young And The Restless Comings And Goings: Allison Lanier Replaces Hunter King As Summer Newman

The Young And The Restless

The Young And The Restless Comings and Goings news reveals that Allison Lanier has joined the CBS soap as Summer’s recast. Tv Seasons & Spoilers previously reported that a recast could be in the works for the role of Summer Newman, and it looks like that is what just happened.

Soap Opera Digest reported that Lanier joined the cast of The Young And The Restless as Nick and Phyllis’ daughter, Summer, replacing Hunter King. King played the role of Summer from 2012-16, and she returned after a two-year break from 2018-21. But King finally left the show in 2021 because she was busy with other projects.

Summer and Kyle are a fan favorite couple. And now that there has been a Summer recast, fans are surely excited about the same. It is great news that Summer will continue to be a part of the soap opera. Allison Lanier played Annabelle on Amazon’s Red Oaks series, and this is her first role in a daytime drama.

When Hunter left the show, fans were really upset because Hunter’s alter ego, Summer, was always a part of the interesting storyline on the show. Skyle fans are excited because Kyle will again have his wife by his side now that she’s back.

Regular viewers know that Kyle is returning to Genoa City during the week of April 25-29,2022. He will become the part of the most interesting storyline where his on-screen father will tell him about Diane’s mother.

Furthermore, The Young And The Restless viewers must be excited to see how Diane reacts to Summer being Kyle’s wife. Long-time viewers know that Phyllis and Diane do not get along, and Summer is Phyllis’ daughter.

So, this will definitely bring drama and issues between Summer and Diane too. There are chances that Diane might not approve of Kyle’s wife, and she might create trouble between the couple too.

Allison will definitely put her own spin on Summer’s role, and we are excited about it. It might take some time for viewers to adjust to Summer’s recast. But we are sure that The Young And The Restless fans will give Lanier a warm welcome. We are really excited to see Kyle and Summer on our screens again.

The good news is, Summer is going to stick around longer for the daily dose of drama and action. So tell us in the comments below, Are you excited for Allison Lanier? Will you miss Hunter King?
