It looks like Chelsea portrayer Melissa Claire Egan is taking a break. She is heavily pregnant and is all set to give birth to her first child this August. That means she is going on maternity leave. Chelsea’s mother- Anita Lawson, recently met an accident where she broke her hip. Now, Chelsea is heading out of Genoa City to help and take care of her mom. While Chelsea thought that she would get custody of her son Connor, it doesn’t look like Adam or Victor would budge. They have allowed Connor to go away with his mom for now, but he will divide his time between the ranch and her mother.
Coming back to Chelsea’s exit, spoilers suggest that she might be going away, but that doesn’t mean viewers will not get to see her at all. She might check in now and then through video calls. So, viewers will get to see her glimpses and feel her presence. Chelsea might be leaving The Young and the Restless right now, but she will come back soon.
