It looks like The Young and the Restless creators have heard fans’ plea to bring Summer and Kyle back. As per the latest reports, Hunter King is back on the show. While she is coming back on recurring status, she is coming back again, and that is what we must focus on right now.
The Young and the Restless viewers would recall, the last time viewers got to see her was at Victoria’s wedding when she came there with Kyle and Harrison. As per the storyline, the three of them have shifted to Milan and decided to build a life there. However, keeping in mind the fan popularity, demands, and storyline, The Young and the Restless might have decided to bring her back. This news is indeed music to the ears of the fans. So, we can celebrate now.
With that said, what fans really want is “Skyle.” While we now know that Hunter King might be coming back, there is no mention of Michael Mealor reprising the role of Kyle. Summer makes only a part of “Skyle”. So, what would happen there? The speculation has it; The Young and the Restless creators have no plans of bringing Kyle back for now. However, that can change down the line.
If Summer is coming back, there are a number of interesting storylines she can be a part of. First, she will be able to support both her parents, Nick and Phyllis, who are going through a breakup. Then, she will even be able to be there for Noah Newman and help her navigate his love life in Genoa City.
Since Hunter King is coming in for a recurring character, it is less likely that Summer will get a full-fledged storyline. But, she can certainly pop up here and there and be there for her family.
