It’s time for celebration on The Young and the Restless as the Daytime Emmy Winner- Doug Davidson has completed 43 years on the show. He played the character of Paul Williams on the sudser. And to celebrate the occasion, The Young and the Restless’s Twitter account posted a congratulatory tweet for the actor.
The tweet read that “Paul Williams and Doug Davidson made their The Young and the Restless debut back on 5/23/78. Genoa City has never been the same ever since. Happy 43rd, Dougie.” The actor did not hold back either. He weighed on celebrating this milestone. He thanked all his followers and told everyone how much he appreciates the support he has. Many fans of the actor flooded his social media with congratulatory posts.
This is indeed news of celebration. However, now it doesn’t look like viewers will get to see Doug back on The Young and the Restless anytime soon. As we reported earlier, the actor took onto Twitter to clarify that his stint on the soap opera is done, and he does not have any regrets about it. However, he isn’t coming back now. So, it does not looks like viewers will get to see him in action anytime soon. Although, we do hope that he comes back down the line.
Over the years, Doug has been a part of a number of major storylines. One of his most famous storylines was his involvement in the George Rawlins murder mystery story that aired back in the 1980s. It was the same time The Young and the Restless became the number one daytime soap opera.
Other than that, he has been involved with Cassandra, Lauren, Isabella, and Nina. However, his true love was Christine Lauren over the years. Doug has undoubtedly had a long and beautiful run! We at tvseasonspoilers.com congratulate him on this milestone. The Young and the Restless airs on CBS all weekdays. Don’t miss out on the action.
