Recently, popular actress Eva Longoria spoke about her time on The Young and The Restless. The gorgeous actress stated that early on in her career, she worked as a professional headhunter to pay her bills. Even when she bagged a role in the famous soap, The Young and The Restless, she continued her former job. Eva said that acting in Y&R did not pay her enough to make her ends meet. Thus, she continued moonlighting as a headhunter.
Furthermore, the former The Young and The Restless alum stated that she would hide her Y&R stint from her clients. Eva explained that she would hide it because her clients wouldn’t want a “dumb actress handling their accounts.” Later, in 2004 she was cast in the hit series Desperate Housewives. Eva gushed that the recognition she received for it was both surreal and fun. It did not take too long for Eva’s statements to go viral and soon reached actor Eric Braeden.
The Young And The Restless Legend Rips Former Co-Star On Twitter
The Young and The Restless Legend reacted so fiercely to Eva Longoria’s statement, that it set Twitter ablaze! Actor Eric Braeden believes that Eva failed on Daytime television, and that’s why made the remarks she made. He feels that her statements were derogatory and she “simply wasn’t good enough.” Furthermore, Eric went on to add that many big names, including Robert Di Nero, started from that very medium. He also stated that Eva was lucky to get on the “housewives” show and only did one show in 8-12 days.
The Young and The Restless star went on to shoot down every user that tried to defend Eva’s statements on Twitter. Some fans even felt like Eric was channeling Victor Newman into his real life. However, there were some others who believe that he was just speaking his mind.
