The Young and the Restless viewers know that Mariah has been missing in action for a few weeks now. Her family has finally realized that something is wrong. And now, started looking for Mariah, there have been other rumors on who might save her. One such speculation has it that Genoa City’s Chief of Police Paul Williams might be coming back. He might be someone who saves Mariah and reunites her with her girlfriend Tessa and other loved ones.
Amidst this speculation, a curious fan decided to ask Doug himself. The fan tweeted asking Doug if it was true? He had read “spoilers” that said that he would save Mariah. The fan asked Paul portrayer if he was coming back? It didn’t take very long for the actor to tell his fans the truth. He used two words to clear the air. Doug Davidson replied to the fan’s tweet and said- “Not True.”
While this statement did clear up the air, it also reminded all of Doug’s fans how much they miss him on the soap. While fans miss the actor terribly, there are slim chances that he would come back. Back in May 2021, when they were asking The Young and the Restless to bring back Doug, he had cleared that it wasn’t going to happen. He called his journey on the soap fabulous, but he won’t be coming back. Back in the time, he said that he had had a fabulous run on the show, and he doesn’t regret that. He is grateful to the Y&R family. But he is now happy seeing his kids, and he won’t be back.
