The Young and the Restless recap for Friday, July 29, 2022, relays the story of the ongoing investigation of Ashland’s death. Chance had several questions for the Newman family. He asked Nick if he thought Ashland was suicidal on the night of their fight. Nick stuck to his statement and repeated that Victoria did nothing wrong; Ashland would have hurt her had he not intervened.
Meanwhile, Kyle is heartbroken because he has to tell Harrison what happened to Ashland. Summer is there for him and wonders if Diane sympathized with him as he sympathized with Harrison. In another part of town, Sharon meets Adam at the coffee shop and is worried about his downward spiral. How is Adam taking it? Here is all about it.
Chance Has Questions For Nick
In this episode of The Young and the Restless, we saw Chance talk to Nick and find out that Victoria had left to pick up the kids. Chance wondered if Victoria could have let Billy take care of the kids as they were in the middle of an investigation. Nick defended his sister by saying that she did nothing wrong.
Chance asked a series of questions to Nick to confirm if Ashland was indeed suicidal on the night of the crime. Nick did not know the answer; he only knew that Ashland was coming for his sister and could hurt her. He added that Ashland was not in the condition to drive a car by himself.
Nikki arrived at the scene and asked Chance to leave them alone. She reassured her son that Ashland’s death was not on him. Nikki is there for Nick because she was in similar turmoil when she thought she had killed JT Hellstorm. However, she didn’t have to think twice about defending Victoria and will continue to be there for her kids. Nick agreed; he felt the same.

Meanwhile, at the Abbott mansion, Kyle is shocked and does not know how to tell Harrison that Ashland is dead. He was reminded of the day Jack had informed him about his mother’s death. Summer will understand his situation and wonder if Diane ever sympathized with him as he did with Harrison.
Jack brought Harrison down, and Kyle began telling Harrison about tragic events. Kyle was just about to break the news to Harrison when Diane arrived. Eventually, Kyle broke the news to Harrison. Summer shared updates about Ashland’s death with Diane, and she insisted on staying and helping them through their loss.
Sharon Helps Adam
Rounding off, Adam stopped by the coffee shop in another part of town and saw Sharon’s package for Tessa. He received a call that confirmed his solo ticket out of town. Sharon assumes that this means Adam did not resolve his fight with Sally. She took the opportunity to tell him about Sally’s distress and confronted him about his true feelings.
Adam continued to stand by his decision to break up. He pretended that what happened was for the best. Now, he is taking a break and flying to Vegas.
