The Young and the Restless recap for August 22, 2022, reveals the story of Chance’s investigation of Ashland’s death. He has closed the case, which made Billy suspicious. Billy arrived at Victoria’s doorstep to ask her the truth about what had happened. Victoria confessed about everything that happened the night of Ashland’s death. Billy stood by her and reassured her.
Meanwhile, Abby was happy to know Chance had closed the case. He could not afford to keep investigating the case and was upset because he had to close it. Later on, Adam confronted Victor and warned him about the upcoming danger. We will have to wait and watch to know what happens to Victor and the Newmans.
Billy Comforts Victoria
In this episode of The Young and the Restless, Victoria returned to her empty house. She was haunted by the memories of the night Ashland was killed. Unconsciously, she started to relive those memories. Fortunately, Billy knocked on the door. They shared a warm hug and sat down for a conversation. Billy could tell something was amiss about Victoria and the whole investigation.
Finally, Victoria tells Billy the truth about what happened on the night of Ashland’s death. She was concerned about her brother Nick. Billy felt no remorse for Ashland and tried to remind her of the good times they had shared in the house. However, Victoria recalled a few bad memories, like Delia’s death. Ultimately, Victoria made peace with the present and thanked Billy for the support.
The Young And The Restless Recap: Chance Is Upset
Meanwhile, at Crimson Lights, Nick discussed Chance’s decision with Sharon. She was happy to hear it, but Nick was agitated. Sharon swore to support him through the process of recovering from Ashland’s death. He confessed he felt shaken by the incident. However, Sharon reminded him it was an accident.
Elsewhere, Abby was glad that Chance had stopped investigating the case. She thought this was proof that her father was innocent. However, Chance intervened and told her the case was closed because the evidence was circumstantial. Moreover, Chance could not afford to waste more resources on the investigation. He wanted Abby to stop celebrating a loss because it was about her family.
Adam Warns Victor
Rounding off the Monday episode of The Young and the Restless, Adam showed up with an attitude. He was to confront his father, Victor, about what happened with Ashland. Victor avoided Adam’s comments and was happy Chance Chancellor had closed the case. However, Adam was certain that his deceptive father was hiding something.
Eventually, Victor asked Adam to stop meandering and ask what was on his mind. Adam took the opportunity to ask Victor if he was trying to cover Victoria or Nick’s deeds. Moreover, he was furious at his family. All they had to do was follow his original plan, and Ashland would have been out of Genoa City for good.
