In fact, some spoilers suggest that Chance’s insecurities will start taking such a toll on him that he would decide to give up the “daddy” title. What would happen? Here is everything about it.
Chance Is Feeling Insecure
The Young And The Restless viewers know that Chance has been feeling very insecure about his relationship with his son. Chance already feels that he is letting his family down, and not being able to connect with the baby is just acting as fuel to the fire. Owing to everything that he has been feeling, he recently supported Devon in the whole shared custody situation. Abby did not want to give the baby’s custody, but Chance still stood with Devon.
Not only that, when Chance returned to Genoa City, he was very clear that he wanted to spend time with his wife and family. However, many things have changed now. Chance now wants to get back to work. So, all of this could be a result of how “not enough” Chance is feeling.
In the recent episode of The Young And The Restless, Devon addressed himself as “Daddy” in front of Chance when he picked up Dominic. While Devon apologized for being insensitive, that has affected Chance. All of this is only adding up to his insecurities. In January 31, 2022, episode of The Young And The Restless, Chance, and Chelsea got into talking. They spoke about Dominic and his “other dad.” Chance explained the whole custody situation to Chelsea, and it reminded her that she also has a bio-child that she isn’t raising. Chelsea then tells Devon about the affection she has for Johnny despite the fact that Victoria and Billy are his parents.
Chelsea also points out how she feels that walking away from Johnny was the right thing to do. She will tell Chance that she hoped that Devon would be able to do that, but since Devon hasn’t done that, Chance will start feeling a little worried. Chelsea reassured him that something would stick with Dominic, but Chance would start getting worried for his son and how everything would confuse him. Owing to all of this, Chance might make a decision. What would that be?
Chance Makes A Decision, Abby Is Angry
After his conversation with Chelsea, Chance will make a tough decision. The Young And The Restless spoilers suggest that Chance might feel that Devon should be the only one using the title “Daddy.” Y&R is, anyway pulling Chance back from the role of Dominic’s father. So, the next step in that thing will be Chance stripping himself of the dad title. He might think that having two daddies would confuse the baby and will help no one. So, he might talk to Abby about it.
When Abby comes to know that Chance is planning something like this, she is angry and heartbroken. All Abby ever wanted was a small family that was together. However, if Dominic doesn’t call Chance “Daddy,” it would ruin everything. She will feel that Chance is creating more distance between him and the baby. So, that will leave Abby all riled up.
