His on-screen mother, Phyllis, actress Michelle Stafford, shared a very special message for the star on Instagram. In the message, the Emmy-winning actress also revealed her solid history with Michael. She also shared a screenshot of one of their many conversations!

“I have many amazing text exchanges with Michael, here is one I can actually show,” Michelle wrote, sharing a screenshot of the chat. “It was right after the Boston Bruins lost the Stanley Cup to the St. Louis Blues, I believe four years ago… I could be wrong on the year.” She reflected on how much Michael “loves his sports,” which is one of the many things that she loves about the actor.
Circling back to when they first aged her son Daniel in 2004, Michelle confessed. “I was completely freaked out having never played a mother to a grown adult in my life.” However, she “quickly fell in love with the Grazzzz,” just as everybody else did on The Young and The Restless.
Michelle concluded her post by praising Michael for being “beyond an outstanding actor” and “an outstanding human… he is joy personified.” The Young and Restless actress went on to add, “It is my pleasure and the pleasure of every other cast member at #YR to have him back!! Happy Birthday GRAZZZZZZ.”
