Fans who’ve been watching the show for a long time know about the rivalry between Phyllis and Christine. The reason for their feud goes way back to Phyllis’ big crush on Danny. A while ago, he was a popular pop star, and Phyllis did a lot, like using drugs, to be with him. Danny didn’t know about the drugging and believed he cheated on his wife, Christine.
When Christine found out he cheated, and later Phyllis claimed to be pregnant with his baby, it caused a final split in Christine and Danny’s marriage, and she decided to break up. However, the latter’s former wife eventually found out about Phyllis’ lies, and she told Danny everything.
This made Danny not want anything to do with Ms. Summers. Of course, Phyllis was really mad at Christine and wanted payback. She tried to run over Cricket with a car on The Young and the Restless. Unfortunately, Phyllis missed Christine but accidentally hit her then-new boyfriend, Paul, instead. The relationship between the two women didn’t get better after Christine helped Danny take custody of Daniel away from Phyllis. The upset mother was really mad about losing custody.
The Young and the Restless: Tucker Throws A Curveball
Jump to the present, and the between Phyllis and Christine is still really high, and it might get even worse because they both like Danny. Remember, in the past, Phyllis tried to run over Cricket, hoping to get rid of her “bug problem.” But we think Phyllis has gotten smarter since then. At least, we hope so because she’s still on probation after the Jeremy Stark incident. Even with that, around December 11, Phyllis had a tough moment when she saw Christine and Danny kissing. And to make it worse, after the kiss, Christine hugged Danny and looked at Phyllis with a smirk. That’s definitely going to bring out Phyllis’ troublesome side.
Now, let’s bring Tucker into the picture. The Young and the Restless spoilers for the week of December 18 said he would plan to talk to Phyllis about something. We think he might want to use her tech skills for his Glacade business and try to beat Jabot in the beauty industry. If Tucker offers Phyllis a job, she might laugh it off and say no at first. However, Tucker is pretty sharp and might catch on to Phyllis’ romantic situation. He could then offer to help Phyllis deal with Christine in this love triangle, and in return, he might ask Phyllis for help. This tempting offer might be hard for her to say no to. If our theory turns out to be true, we’ll have to see how Tucker plans to handle Christine.
We know he wouldn’t go as far as trying to harm her, but he might try to get her out of Genoa City. Since Cricket came back to town after divorcing Paul, she’s been working in the pro-bono world. Tucker might know people in the nonprofit sector, and it could be easy for him to arrange a job offer for Christine that she can’t say no to. A position that meets her career needs and takes her out of Genoa City more often. With Christine gone, Phyllis might think her chances of winning Danny’s commitment go up.
