Daytime Royalty, The Young and The Restless has been winning awards and the audience’s hearts for decades! Over the years, the soap has touched many storylines, which completely blew our minds! Going back exactly a decade from today, we had witnessed one such tremendous episode when The Big Daddy of Geona City came back from the dead! Today, almost a year ago, all of that happened.
Viewers of The Young and The Restless were left stunned when the news broke out that Victor Newman was dead! When Victor did not return from one of his travels, and an unidentified body was later identified by his then-wife Sharon Newman as that of Victor, he was presumed dead. His children as well as his heartbroken ex-wife Nikki, mourned Victor’s death relentlessly.
The Young and The Restless: Victor Newman’s Return From The Dead!
On The Young and The Restless episode of 27th September 2012, many viewers shed a silent tear as Nikki grieved her beloved Victor by his grave. However, many jaws quickly dropped as Nikki turned around to see Victor looking at her at the graveyard. Yes, Victor Newman returned. In the flesh. Alive. Very much alive. A clearly moved Victor opened his arms to embrace Nikki and she duly ran into them. Many hearts melted seeing the soft and loving embrace between Nikki and Victor.
An overjoyed but confused Nikki asked Victor if he knew what all had transpired in Geona City while he was away and presumed dead. He gave his affirmation for the same. Nikki informed him that his then-wife Sharon was about to get married in a chapel nearby. The duo then headed to the chapel to stop the wedding.
On The Young and The Restless, right before Tucker could kiss Sharon, his supposed bride, Victor, stopped the wedding. He claimed the wedding was not possible as he is still alive and Sharon is still his wife! Victoria and Nick overjoyed by seeing their father hail and hearty, welcomed him with tight hugs!
Corpses, Conspiracies And Takeovers!
Furthermore, Victor declared that he knows exactly what Sharon had been up to while he was missing. He revealed that he had lost his memory after falling from a horse and had somehow ended up in the back of a truck that drove him away. He also revealed that while he way away Sharon was orchestrating to takeover Newman Enterprise with Tucker.
He claimed that Sharon had knowingly identified someone else’s corpse as Victor. And that Tucker and she had conspired with Genevieve to keep Victor away from Geona City on The Young and The Restless. Genevieve attested to Victor’s claim, which left Sharon no choice but to accept that she did it. Genevieve also added that in penance for her wrongdoing, she nursed Victor back to health and ensured his safe return to home on The Young and The Restless.
Sharon admitted that she indeed was guilty of Victor’s accusation, but, she did it only because he cheated on her in L.A. Victor rejected the accusation stating that the woman in question was a nun and he was only helping her. He then swiftly ordered Sharon to return to the Newman Ranch, pack up her stuff and leave.
So, that folks is the story of how our dear Victor Newman returned back from the land of the dead on The Young and The Restless! Intense, right?
