The root of the issue seems to be coming from Kim’s discomfort with Natalie’s interactions with her boyfriend, Marcus Johnson. Natalie recently broke up with fellow SUR employee Paulo. During the Season 12 premiere, Kim admitted that Natalie’s behavior raised red flags.

Although she described Natalie as one of her closest friends in Los Angeles, Kim felt it all changed when Natalie became single. According to Kim, Natalie began seeking attention in ways that crossed boundaries. This included texting Marcus over and over again. Just a few moments ago, Kim also warned Marcus not to hug Natalie, making it clear it would upset her. Natalie, however, defended herself, saying their relationship was platonic. As mentioned previously, Natalie decides to address the “elephant in the room” during a group dinner in the upcoming episode of the show. PopCulture.com provided a sneak peek in which Natalie approached Kim to clear the air between them. Natalie hugs Kim from behind and tells her that she wants to work things out rather than continue avoiding each other.

Although Kim acknowledged Natalie’s effort, but was still hesitant given the situation they were in. Kim explains that they were all having alcohol, and that could lead to unwanted emotions during a serious conversation. Despite this, Natalie still wanted to continue the conversation as she felt uncomfortable pretending everything was fine when it wasn’t. Kim again replies that she has deliberately avoided Natalie so that the two don’t argue in front of friends.

As the two continued arguing, the rest of the table began to feel the tension. Audrey Lingle later stated in a confessional that she was exhausted by the drama and believes Natalie should step away from the situation.
