Ethan and Olivia traveled all the way to Minnesota to meet his grandparents. It was at this very place where Ethan lived his first snowy Christmas. In an interview with PEOPLE, Olivia shared that the couple had a great time hanging out with his grandparents and making memories. Even Micah, 19, joined them up there. Olivia revealed that she’s excited to go skiing with Ethan, and now that Ethan is also up here, they’re going to have a lot of fun.
Olivia Opens Up On The No-Contact Basis With Kim And Barry
The 22-year-old reality star further unveiled that the couple would be spending time skiing around New Year’s. She specified that they’d be “going to go up north by the Canada border, so it’ll be a very cold New Year’s.” On the question of her relationship with the Plaths, Olivia mentioned that she and Ethan are on a no-contact basis with his parents. She further explained the part that has not been aired on the show. The reality star went on to tease that by the end of the season, Ethan would be meeting his parents and sharing his thoughts with them.
According to Olivia, the couple’s decision to stay away from the Plaths was the best. They found time to be with each other and grow together. As of now, they’re in a ‘happy spot’ and making the most of this time. Olivia also added that she’s working on her business and is feeling happy altogether. Additionally, she mentioned that Kim and Barry Plath didn’t make any effort to talk and reconcile with the couple.

In the upcoming episode of Welcome to Plathville, the Plaths would be visiting Joshua Plath’s grave. And as expected, everyone except Ethan and Olivia would show up for the same. Joshua is one of the children of Kim and Barry, who passed away when he was just a toddler. Moriah mentioned how her late brother’s absence affected the family. Not to mention, the entire Plath family grieved this loss. Having said that, Micah and Moriah found it important to accompany their family to Joshua’s grave.
The next episode will see Lydia Plath sobbing over her deceased brother. As for the absent couple, it is possible that they were traveling to California when this shot was filmed.
