Thinking back on that time about their decision to wait for their first kiss, Zac opened up in an interview after the wedding. “The discipline it has taken to save our first kiss for the wedding day is an example of commitment”, he emphasised. Lydia expresses again that the moment was worth waiting for. Zac reveals that the choice was driven by his motive to create a bond without physical intimacy. “I didn’t want the physicality to get in the way of really getting to know someone,” he said.

Even though there were times he recounts as “tempting,” Zac says their belief played a role in setting boundaries. “I think self-control is just a way that we can represent the Lord together,” he mentions in the video.
