From Amy to Misty, except for Tammy, everyone headed to a riverboat ride to shoot for new episodes. The person shared pictures of the original cast members. They got to click a photo with Misty and Chris that made other fans’ hearts full.

It happened on September 4, 2024. One of the photos showed Amy and Brian speaking with an unknown man on the cruise. At that time, TLC remained silent on the series’ renewal until December. Therefore, it’s understandable that a part of the show was filmed in New Orleans, Louisiana. The rest might have been covered in Kentucky and elsewhere.

1000 Lb Sisters Season 8 is ready to serve viewers on TLC. The network disclosed the launch date in December with the trailer. They are set to premiere it this week, on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at 9/8c. They recently reminded their Instagram followers with a post featuring a schedule of shows running the week of January 4-7.

This new season will be nothing short of a dramatic, explosive story about Tammy and Amy. Their sisterly bond was wreaked havoc by her ego. They stopped talking after Tammy called her little sister a deadbeat mom of her two young boys. Her parenting skills got bashed, and Tammy refrained from making up.
