NBC is cutting the chords with its famous nonscripted dancing show, World Of Dance as there’s no hope to return with World Of Dance Season 5. Although World Of Dance has been the best performer of NBC, it still didn’t manage to continue. It seems quite a shocking period in the series executive producer Jennifer Lopez’s life. While struggling from her personal life turmoil, the World Of Dance Season 5 came as the next setback.
World Of Dance features solo and group of elite dancers battling to win the $1 million grand prize in various dance forms. It’s a joint creation with the World Of Dance enterprise, which produces dance events and competitions in nearly 25 countries and more. The first two seasons were hosted by Jenna Dewan. And after her departure, Scott Evans hosted the third and fourth seasons. Jennifer Lopez, Derek Hough, and Ne-Yo serve as judges of the show.
World Of Dance Season 5: Is It Renewed For The Next Run?
Unfortunately, NBC has no plans to return with World Of Dance Season 5 as the show is found missing from NBC’s summer schedule plans. Although the show has been one of the best shows over its first three seasons, the fourth season couldn’t make it through the same. World Of Dance Season 4 contained twelve episodes and aired between May and August 2020. It garnered 0.74 ratings in the 18-49 demo and almost 4.01 million viewership. But compared to the third season, the fourth season went down by 12% and up by 9% in demo and viewership, respectively.
Reason Behind Drop-In Rating
Well, the last season followed some changes in the format, including a Callback Vote, a Qualifier twist, and a Blind Battle (in the duel face-off). It also introduced a guest judge to find which two acts would go to face-off in the redemption round to survive the elimination. Well, many fans loved the concept used in the first three seasons. Thus, the new format resulted in a subsequent decline in the viewership numbers. So, it could be a reason behind World Of Dance Season 5 cancelation.
Another Set Back In Jennifer’s Life Besides World Of Dance Season 5
It was heartbreaking news to hear that Jennifer Lopez and former baseball champ Alex Rodriguez canceled their engagement last Friday. However, the couple recently shared that they are still together. Perhaps their love remains untouched from the rumors. “We are working through some things,” the couple echoed. Although they didn’t reveal what they’re working on, hopefully, it has nothing to do with the rumored third party.
Lately, reports surfaced that the couple split after Alex’s new love interest showed up. Well, the third party is none other than Southern Charm star Madison LeCroy who was rumored FaceTiming with Alex. However, Madison denied that they never had that kind of bond and never been physical; they are the only acquaintances. Who knows? But an insider revealed that both Jennifer and Alex have already broken up. However, both have been busy in their business world, so it’s not like a formal breakup.
Jennifer Has Some Other Plans
Before this news surfaced, Jennifer clarified in January that they have some plans for their wedding. They wanted to do it and planned out everything uniquely, as it’s their wedding that they can’t recreate. So, they canceled it (twice) to do it in the right way. However, both never talked about their marriage after January. So do they really wanted to do it or not? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section.
