The latest season of MTV’s hit show Teen Mom is streaming now on the network. Amidst this, 16 & Pregnant is returning after more than a decade. It will feature the six new stories of the young teen moms about their unexpected pregnancies. And ahead of its premiere on Tuesday, Oct. 6, one of the stars opened up about her transition from a normal teenager to a mother in a small town. Here’s have a look.
16 & Pregnant: Madisen Talks About Getting Pregnant In A Small Town
Before the premiere of docuseries 16 & Pregnant, the 17-year-old Madisen of Heber Spring, Arkansas talked about her unplanned pregnancy. In an interview with Popculture, Madisen shared how it felt to transition from an all-star cheerleader to the mother of 6-month-old daughter Camille. The biggest challenge for her was to get pregnant in a small town where all the matters become gossip in no time. She shared how it was kinda difficult for her to spill her experiences on the cameras.
Madisen said that it was tough to talk about the challenging parts of her life after she and her boyfriend, Christian, learned she was pregnant at 15. However, the show’s film made her comfortable and the entire thing became a bit easier. The reality star then affirmed that it was surreal to reflect on her past and see how far she has come since then. She believes that she has grown a lot ever since then and that makes her happy.
Madisen Is Grateful For Her Father’s Support
Madisen is raised by a single father after her mom left the picture at a young age. With that being said, she hopes that her boyfriend is at least half as good as a father Madisen has. She went on to explain how her father, Nick, supported her during her pregnancy in a small town. It was his support that kept her going. The mom of one recounted how her dad would simply ask her to let go of the gossip and rise above everything. She then said that Nick is the best dad in the world.
Although Madisen and her boyfriend, Christian, had their share of issues during the pregnancy, they’re together now. While he had been supporting the mother of his child, the child did bring some strain into their relationship. But with Camille now seven months old, the parents have got a better understanding of their relationship. Towards the end, Madisen admits that she didn’t imagine that her life at 17 would be such as this. However, she doesn’t regret a bit it!
