Now, the popular network has confirmed that the fan-favorite Johnston family members will be returning within a few months. It hasn’t been long since the Johnstons got off television after Season 9. Yet, fans had been curious to watch what the family is up to next, especially after Elizabeth moved out. In a press conference, TLC has officially confirmed the release date of the upcoming season. Thefutoncritic also reveals that the network released a synopsis as well. As per the official synopsis, elder sister Anna Johnstons will be eager to follow suit after her younger sister Liz moved into her own place. Meanwhile, everyone in the family would wonder with Jonah will finally “fly the coop”.
Well, the synopsis said “some of the kids out of the house,” hinting that more Johnston children except Elizabeth might have got the chance to escape their strict parents’ house. However, despite some of them moving out, the family manages to spend time together. As some of their social media pictures already revealed, the Johnston family will go on a vacation together because the annual Little People conference was canceled due to COVID. Some of the pictures on the family’s official accounts include Elizabeth’s boyfriend Brice and Jonah’s partner, Ashley.
On the other hand, Brice has started to fit in with the family even though he is of average size. The synopsis also said, “Having recently celebrated their two-year anniversary, the family is curious if Brice will soon become an official member of the Johnstons family”. This suggests that there might be a discussion of Liz and Brice’s wedding. The 7 Little Johnstons family will also celebrate Alex and Emma’s respective 16th birthdays with a backyard luau.

The kids of the family are growing up and have begun to move out of their parents’ house. With this, Trent and Amber Johnstons’ lives are getting less chaotic than before. Hence, the couple will liven things up by switching professions in the new episode. While Trent has revealed that he is now a car salesperson, Amber’s new job is yet to be discussed. However, she recently talked about becoming a student again, suggesting that she might be starting college.
On the other hand, the parents will consider adding “a new member to the “Johnston home”. However, the synopsis warns that this new member is “not what viewers might expect”.
