She is a Muslim now and is getting death threats from Americans. They also say things like the entire countries are banned from coming there. Avery reveals that she has grown up in a diverse community where people call African Americans criminals and Muslims as terrorists.

The leader of ISIS recently dies. Post his death, people started to tag Avery and say that she must be sad that her cousin is dead. She also calls out people who don’t stand up against this problem just because it doesn’t bother them. In fact, she goes on to say that they are a part of the problem.

Avery thanks people who stay up in the face of the hatred that’s causing so many problems. She also clarifies that she wasn’t trying to throw shade. But seeing some stuff struck a nerve. On the other hand, some are telling Deavan to look at the real world before making statements.
