Ben’s Ex Weighs Into The Whole ‘Akinyi Not Ready To Be a Step Mom’ Thing
Akinyi has been reluctant to be a step-parent immediately. However, she is open to being a friend to Ben’s son. This is something even the little guy’s biological mom seems to agree with. Let’s take a look at what she has to say. Because an ex siding with the present girlfriend is indeed a rare occasion indeed!
She goes on to say that no one can just become a step-parent to a child. If your spouse has a son or a daughter from a previous relationship, technically, a person becomes a step-parent by marriage. However, developing the parental bond with a child is not as a task of one day. From day one, it’s not possible to have a deep level of relationship with a child.

She went on to say that her partner met her son and befriended him at first. He first got to know him and gradually understood what he meant to him. After some time, her son came to her and told her that her partner was his stepdad. And she also confirmed it via the family tree he drew at school.
She expresses her concern when someone pushes a person into filling the role of a parent when they are not ready to do so. Akinyi is clearly unprepared, and for Ben to make this work, he has to let her choose her own pace. She advises Ben to let her adjust with her life in the new country before forcing Akinyi to be a stepmom.
90 Day Fiance fans agree to what she is saying and call her a level headed woman. As for Ben, the primary suggestion is to let Akinyi be his son’s friend and ease into the role of a step-parent.
