Erika stated that she is close to her parents and tells them almost everything. However, she hasn’t told them that she is bisexual yet. In the preview, we can see that Erika’s parents have invited her and Stephanie for dinner and that she is nervous. Erika admits that she is really nervous about it. 

Erika said that it’s important for her to be herself and to be real. However, it’s important to her that her parents should be a part of her life and accept her as well. She seemed unsure about how they might react.

Stephanie stated that she faced a lot of backlash when she decided to come out on Television. She thought that people were already skeptical about her. She was worried about her audience thinking that she was doing it just for the attention. However, she calls herself a storyteller and stated that she has always been honest about herself. 

Stephanie also talked about the stigma she has to face as a bisexual even within the LGBTQ community. They are wondering why they can’t just choose one. She is still to come out in front of her family and friends and that would constitute a major storyline for the reality TV show.

Stephanie further explained that bo one has the same journey coming out. She stated that it’s not as simple as telling your parents something, shaking hands, and walking away. According to her, this entire thing is a lot to process. It can also take multiple tried before you actually get there. Stephanie also hopes that by watching her and Erika, people in a similar situation realize that it’s not something you have to be quick about. Moreover, it’s okay to take some time if you are not ready and that’s fine. 

Even though Stephanie and Erika have their own issues to sort through, this is definitely something they have to figure out, keeping their differences aside.
