90 Day Fiance: Big Ed Files For Bankruptcy After $185,704 Unpaid Debts, Is That Why He Was Living With His Mom?

Rose and Ed are one of the most talked-about couples in the recent season of 90 Day Fiance: Before The 90 Days. His attitude has been passively controlling when it came to Rose. So, he got into the bad books of fans because he made too many demands. Moreover, according to viewers, he was acting like a pervert which was cringeworthy to watch.

But this is not the end of the list of the side of big Ed we know. Some sources suggest that he was bankrupt even before the couple met. Let’s take a look.

Ed Filed For Bankruptcy Twice Before Appearing on 90 Day Fiance: Before The 90 Days

Apparently, Big Ed wasn’t as rich as we presumed when we first saw him on 90 Day Fiance: Before The 90 Days. According to the Instagram account @celebtm, in 2004, the reality TV star filed for “Chapter 7 Bankruptcy” for $133,827.30 and in 2017, he filed again for $185,704. John Yates assumed that this might be the reason why Ed still lives with his mom.

In 2004, he had $20 in cash with him and about $63 in his account. He filed for a $4383 exemption for his household and personal belongings including a $700 watch. At that time, Tiffany was 13 years old.

90 Day Fiance: Before The 90 Days; Ed Not Liked By Fans or Co-Stars

Cortney Reardanz pointed out in an interview with the Domenick Nati Show that over all this time Ed was trying to imply that Rose was using him for money. However, she thinks that he might have been using Rose over all this time to get ahead.

She added that the way he used to tear her down and disrespect her family made it seem like he was the one using her all along. In fact, even though he could have done something nice for her family, he didn’t, not even a single gift.

90 Day Fiance: Before The 90 Days; Ed and Rose On The Recent Season

90 Day Fiance

In the recent season, Ed seemed genuine initially. He looked like someone who was insecure about his height and told Rose this little lie. However, later, he pushed Rose into talking about her ex in detail and told her to take an STD test.

Later, to make it up for it, he gave her a foot massage and asked her to shave her legs to appear more attractive to him. Not to mention, he also gave her a toothbrush and told her that her breath wasn’t pretty.

The way he passively berated Rose for being from a third-world country is ironic considering he himself has filed for bankruptcy. The least Ed could have done is shown some humility.
