Ever since Ed admitted that he has been unfaithful to his wife in the past, trolls haven’t spared him. However, they cooled off a bit since they liked his current character online. Considering the activities he has been involved in with Rosemarie, his current Philipino girlfriend, it’s hard for some fans to not make him a target of trolls. To make it up for asking her to take an STD test, Ed gave her a massage in the hotel room. For some fans, the scene itself was a little uncomfortable to watch. But for them, Ed crossed the line when he asked Rose to shave her legs to appear more attractive to him. Even though she did, fans were not happy with Ed for making her take this step.
He was also being pushy with Rose and was asking too many questions about her past relationships. Some viewers thought that many questions were unnecessary. Some wondered how he would react if she had a friendly co-parenting relationship with her ex.
