Chantel recently celebrated her girlfriend Ashley’s past service in the Navy with a heartfelt tribute on Instagram. She reshared Ashley’s Stories, which featured rare photos from her 2010 deployment in Haiti after the catastrophic earthquake. The first image showed Ashley in full military gear, with Chantel adding the caption, “My baby,” followed by a heart emoji. In another image, Ashley could be seen wearing a helmet inside a helicopter.

She wrote, “In 2010, I dropped from a helicopter to aid Haiti during the earthquake. I helped deliver food and water to locals and assisted in moving the injured and those who passed away.” The next photo, dated January 16, 2010, showed a tired but determined Ashley taking a brief break amid her mission. Ashley also shared a deeply emotional moment. It was a picture of her crying as a friend wiped her tears.

“I was crying over a little boy named Iqinez de French,” she wrote. “He had his leg amputated. I was there with him during surgery and almost adopted him and his twin brother,” she added.
