The trip 90 Day Fiance couple Kalani and Asuelu thought would improve their relationship turned out to be a little creepy when Kalani went too far with her joke. They decided to visit the Washington State to meet up with Asuelu’s mother and half-sisters. Let’s take a look at what really happened.

When Asuelu brought out the topic of visiting his family in Washington, Kalani was okay with it but only on one condition. Asuelu had to take a stand for her if needed and that he wouldn’t run away if another confrontational situation arose. When the couple was in California for Oliver’s birthday, he ran away when things got tense with Kalani and her mom.
Even though he agreed, Kalani decided that she would only go if her sister Kolini could come along. Even though she and Asuelu haven’t been on great terms since he ran away from California, Asuelu said that he will try his best for all of them to have a good time.
But it looks like Kolini was not the only one with concerns for this trip. Kalani was also not comfortable with Asuelu’s mom asking for a thousand dollars from him. She said that all she was hoping is for the meeting to go as planned.

As soon as Asuelu’s mom saw him, she was extremely overjoyed. She took him in a lengthy embrace which made Kalani and her sister feel really awkward. His mom kissed him on the cheek but it wasn’t what the sisters saw. She also told the producers that she was happy to see her son with his wife and kids after such a long time.
In an interview with Kalani, Asuelu said that he was really happy to see his family. That’s when Kalani started poking fun at him about the way his mom greeted him. She said that she felt a little awkward and Asuelu was shocked when she revealed what exactly she felt about the tense moment.
Teasing him about the weird moment with his Kalani said that Asuelu was making out with his mom. The 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After star said that it was lip to lip. He kissed his wife on the side of her lips to demonstrate exactly how it was. But Kalani kept on pointing out what it looked like from where she and her sister were standing.
