Kalani made it clear to her loved ones that she can’t keep living like this. So, even if they end up getting a divorce, she needs an assurance that they gave their marriage their best shot.
In her confessional, Kalani revealed that sometimes, they both can’t stand each other’s presence. This is something that has been bothering her for a while. Later, the couple agreed that their family’s presence has been making things difficult. When the family members are around, the drama escalates.
Asuelu Agrees to See Therapist Who Understands His Point of View
When the couple came to terms to make one last effort for their marriage, Asueleu agreed to go to a therapist as well. But he made it clear that the person should understand his culture as well as point of view. Kalani seemed okay with his request.
They sat down with Dr. Matt Eschler and Ilena, the translator, and started to discuss what went down in the recent episode that aired on August 23rd. Kalani stated that Tammy and Lesina’s remarks were upsetting. But what was even more unsettling was the way Asuelu reacted when she refused to give them the money.
The therapist pointed out that while Kalani comes from a culture that emphasizes equality for both men and women, Asuelu is from one where women are expected to serve men. He also stated that they need to write down points that explain how they can run their household. In the confessional, he made it clear that if the couple didn’t sort through these issues, they would be better off without each other.
