In fact, Kalani feels like she is living with a “friend” or maybe her “roommate with benefits.” Well, her sister goes ahead and asks if those are even benefits, to which, she says “Not really.”
The whole conversation comes off as quite shocking as Kalani doesn’t look happy in the marriage anymore. Well, her sister is quite upset too, as it seems like Kalani and Asuelu are getting intimate without any romance between them. Besides, even though she’s not ready to accept it, the 90 Day Fiance doesn’t look very comfortable with that. Later on, while talking to the cameras, Kalani implies that she has got used to how things are and doesn’t really question. However, even though she’s trying to adjust in the marriage, she says, “But, it sucks.”

She talks about how the couple does not go out on dates anymore and doesn’t even have alone time. Even though she’s constantly taking care of him and his likes and dislikes, Asuelu never reciprocates these things at all.
Furthermore, Kalani discusses the reason that they don’t have romance in their relationship anymore. She explains that Asuelu doesn’t know what real love is as he’s never seen that dynamic in his parents. Moreover, he wasn’t taught to do anything. As a result, since he’s the father of her children, Kalani feels the need to nurture him and teach him things. Amid all this, the romance from their relationship dies. She explains that this is because “you can’t have a romantic relationship with someone that you’re mommying.”
