The fact that Ariela’s father is a doctor and is really wealthy is pretty intimidating for Biniyam. He wants to make a good impression on him. Biniyam also wants him to feel happy about their daughter and grandchild living with Biniyam in Ethiopia. He greeted the couple with flowers as Ariela’s mother gives Biniyam a hug.
Biniyam was literally trembling with nervousness as Ariela’s father give a puzzled look to her mum. After a while, he made it clear that he was scared and nervous. But on the plus side, Ariela’s father liked the way Biniyam welcomed him into Ethiopia. It’s a good thing that eventually they established Biniyam calling him dad.
In the meantime, Ariela waited at the lobby of the hotel her parents were going to stay in. She revealed that she and Biniyam are not in a very good place. Therefore, she was nervous about parents visiting. Even though she was relieved, the anticipations were nerve-wracking.

Till now, we can say that Biniyam and Ariela’s parents’ first meeting went well. They even agreed that Ariela looked a lot like her father and so did their son. Even though Ariela uprooted her entire life in America to be with Biniyam in Ethiopia, she is definitely having second thoughts. We have seen her hint that this is not forever numerous times on the show. It is also clear that Biniyam is trying his level best to make her feel comfortable.
