TLC is coming out with season 2 of 90 Day Fiance’s spin-off The Other Way. Recently, the show wrapped up season 4 of Before the 90 Days. The fans are eager to catch a glimpse of its spin-off. 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way documents the life of the Americans who leave their country to live with their loved ones abroad. It chronicles the challenges and tribulations that come with this.
90 Day Fiance: The Other Way: What Makes It So Special?
Season 2 of The Other Way is unique for a reason. Why? It will feature the franchise’s first same-sex male couple as Kenneth Niedermeier and Armando. This news has heightened the interest of the franchise’s existing fans and is sure to attract more eyeballs. Stars Kenneth and Armando are thankful for all the love they received on making their television debut. Season 2 will show the US-based Kenneth moving in with Armando and his younger daughter in Mexico.
Why Is Armando Nervous About Season 2?
90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way’s season 2 got into Armando’s life in a way that he is nervous about appearing on the screen. It was tough for Armando to confront his first wife and his family about his sexuality. He faced rejection, and a few months later, his then-wife died in an accident. Then, Armando raised his daughter all by himself and continued to keep the conversations on his sexuality under the radar.
He confronted his sister in the 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way premiere. She accepted him for his honesty though she disapproved of him coming out a long time back. Armando explained that he has been keeping it inside of him, and he wants to be his true self. In addition to this, Armando is yet to speak to his parents about his ‘sexuality’ and his decision to live with Kenneth. This has elevated Armando’s apprehensions, who is also worried about how the world will react to this.
He said, “I’m a little nervous, personally, not knowing what to expect. I’m recently coming out, so, you know, putting it out to the world is a big step for me.” Although Armando spoke to his parents about doing a documentary to get them involved, still anxiety persists.
90 Day Fiance: The Other Way: Kenneth Comments On Doing The Show
Kenneth said that being up close and personal allows demystification and highlights the differences and similarities between gay couples and heterosexual couples. On the break-up of the franchise’s lesbian couple, he shared his two cents, “What a lot of the times people don’t realize is same-sex couples have the same problems as everybody else. They have the ups and downs — some make it, some don’t… It’s amazing to show people that two men can love each other and have a great life together.”
The season 2 of 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way will bring a lot of drama as Kenneth and Armando will adjust with their life together. Tension will surface as a result of adjustments, but then, as the couple said, it wouldn’t be different from any other couple.
