She knows the three main ingredients and is ready to make her own alcohol. She purchases some grapes, sugar, and yeast.

She thanks the cashier and wishes him a great day ahead. Laura says that Aladin doesn’t drink. Moreover, he is not likely to approve of Laura drinking as well. So, she decides that she will do her deed when he is at work. Laura is firm on making her own wine in the privacy of her home. She keeps adding the ingredients, at the same time, reading the instructions on her phone. She is really looking forward to reaping the benefits of her hard work after seven days.

While she is working, Aladin walks in. He asks her what she is doing and Laura answers his question with the utmost honesty. He came home suddenly and she didn’t think that he is going to be there so soon. His expression said it all. He asks her whether she wants to go to jail. When he asks her whether she is creating a problem for him, Aladin looks really angry. He tells her that if anyone sees her making wine, they will call the cops on her.
If someone is indulged in doing something illegal, they don’t care whether you are American. He tells her that she can’t make wine at home as it is against the rules. To that, Laura replies that the rules suck. He also tells the cameras that drinking is not allowed in Qatar. He tells her to throw it away. When Aladin asks her why she drinks, she said that she is under a lot of stress. She says that Aladin used to be much more fun before Laura moved here. She expects him to make compromises for her since she left her entire life behind for him.
