Corey’s parents are surprisingly supportive. Even though in most cases, parents don’t support their kids if they don’t approve of their child’s spouse. However, in this case, Corey’s mom and dad wish the couple the best. However, they are worried about how they are going to stay together. They have so many differences that it is difficult to speculate a future together for them. The concern arose from a conversation that happened when the four of them sat to dine together.
Corey asked Evelyn whether she could see herself visiting a Mormon temple to which she bluntly said no. Evelyn and Corey are definitely from different backgrounds, but she is not even trying to blend into his life. She also said that she thought Mormons were a cult. The biggest blast came when Corey’s father slipped in the topic of a baby, and Evelyn said “No Way.” Corey then explained that they had differences when it came to having children. Evelyn doesn’t want to have kids, and Corey does. This is a big difference that can affect the life of a couple in a profound way.

As we saw in a preview video, Evelyn went a little crazy when she Corey talking to another woman in Ecuador. She was being pretty stern about him talking to other women. He was saying that all this shouldn’t be a problem. In the second episode, we also saw Evelyn threatening him that if he doesn’t move to Ecuador, the relationship will be over. Since Corey loves her and can’t let her go, he is uprooting his entire life in the US and moving to a small village in a third world country to be with the love of his life.

Corey has already given her a lot of money. He has spent all his life’s savings on her. If this doesn’t work out, he is going to be in a lot of trouble. Moreover, no matter how much Corey spends on her, nothing is ever enough. She makes it clear that Corey shouldn’t send her away without any money. She makes him withdraw $500 from the ATM and takes the entire amount. This makes us question whether she is in this relationship for the right reasons.
