In the recent 90 Day Fiance episode, Tom and Darcey met over coffee to discuss their relationship. As expected, it didn’t go well. But in the end, he said something that really offended Darcey and most 90 Day Fiance fans. Even though he later posted an apology, but eventually ended up deleting it. Let’s take a look.
90 Day Fiance: Before The 90 Days; Tom Asks Darcey To Be Friends With Him
When the couple began discussing their relationship, Tom said that he is not the notion of love Darcey is looking for. He loves her in a different way. Tom also revealed how hard it was when Darcey was constantly pining over Jesse. Nevertheless, he asked Darcey to be his friend but she politely declined.
Tom seemed calm at first but then he did something really inappropriate. He downright asked Darcey whether she put on weight. Immediately after the scene aired, Tom decided to receive backlash over his statement. So, he posted a public apology, but the fans flooded the comments section with slamming messages. So, he ended up deleting the apology.
Even though it seemed out of the blue, fans speculated the reason behind Tom’s statement to Darcey. Most fans believe that since Darcey rejected his offer for maintaining a friendship, he clapped back at her by making a remark about her weight. Even though it was unlikely Darcey didn’t start crying until she reached the restroom when she was alone.

Tom admitted that he is not perfect and makes mistakes. He also pointed out that everyone says stuff they can take back. He acknowledged what he did was inappropriate. By taking full responsibility for what he did, Tom said that he was sorry. But after he started getting a lot of backlash, he deleted the post. Moreover, he posted an old clip of Darcey saying that Tom is not fit as a model. But fans continued to slam him for what he did.
One fan pointed out that first, he cheated on Darcey and then made this remark which was extremely disappointing. Another pointed out that the reason behind is apology is just the backlash he had been receiving. The user also stated that everyone should admit that Tom is not a nice person. After all, this is not the way a gentleman speaks to a woman.
One user also blamed Tom for catfishing Darcey himself. Considering that he looked different in the pictures he sent her, he didn’t have any right to demean her. The fan also blamed him for throwing a tantrum just because Darcey called him out.
