While the list of crimes seems to be endless when it comes to 90 Day Fiance cast member Geoffrey Paschel, there are specific reasons why he had to face some serious prison time. A while back, he took to Instagram to reveal the story about how he felt when the cops handcuffed him. Let’s take a look as to why he got arrested and went to prison in the first place.

Geoffrey came clean to Varya about his criminal past in the recent episodes. This also means that he has to reveal the truth to her family too. He told her all about the drug-related charges that landed him in jail.
When he was 19, Paschel got arrested for possession of controlled substances in 1997. In August of 1999, he pleaded guilty to those charges and faced prison time for 11 months and 29 days. Varya was shocked when she heard him reveal his past. Her 28-year-old cousin died because of drugs and she accused Geoffrey of helping people die.
She also asked him to reflect on all the families he destroyed. In his defense, Geoffrey said that they were poor growing up and described selling drugs as easy money. He also started to well up and said that it’s only after the deed has been done, people have the opportunity to reflect on it. The reality TV star added that he didn’t like talking about this stuff.

Varya asked Geoffrey how he would feel if his children followed his footsteps. He said that some of them know about his past and have even visited him in prison during his stint. He always tells them a lot against drugs. Varya added that if Geoffrey had told her the truth sooner, she would never have talked to him.

The show is behind when it comes to the present day. The filming has been done months back and things have drastically changed now when it comes to Geoffrey and Varya’s relationship. Varya turned out to become one of Geffrey’s abuse victims. He beat her up and dragged her by her hair on the wooden floors.
Geoffrey also banged her head several times on the wall. She had to run to a neighbor so that she could call 911. The cops came on time and saw bloodstains on the floor. Varya even had concussions. They took Geoffrey and she pressed charges on him.
