When the couple revealed that they are having a seventh child, fans slammed them for being ‘irresponsible.’ A user wrote on Reddit, “Chad and Erin are so disgustingly irresponsible cause there ain’t no way in hell that Chad makes up to $110k a year and after taxes that still wouldn’t be enough for a family of nine.”
Another follower added to the conversation, writing that their parents had done the same without considering the finances. “They just all wore hand me downs, raised one another and that was normalised to them,” the user further added. A third user added, “They said in this latest vlog and have said in the past that they believe their calling is to raise these children and point them to Jesus.” Another critic replied to the comment and wrote, “Of course that’s what they believe. They’re brainwashed and in a cult.”
