Bring Up Bates: Chad Bates Tells Fans To Pray For Erin; Reveals She Is In Septic Shock

On August 25, Erin and Chad welcomed their seventh child, a boy named Henry. Chad took to Instagram and informed everyone about the arrival of their baby boy. He also revealed that Erin is in the ICU as she faced complications during the birth. He further revealed that her condition is quite serious as she has gone into septic shock because of severe infections.

​Chad wrote, “It’s been a week since our miracle, Henry came into the world.” He further added that the baby is doing well in the NICU and wrote that he is their ‘bundle of happiness.’ “We had asked for prayer for recovery for Erin due to complications,” he added. Chad further wrote that Erin’s labor was longer and more intensive than previous births. “She has been fighting through it and has been such a light and sweet testimony of grace to nurses, staff, and doctors alike,” he further wrote.

​Chad further added that everyone is moved by her kindness and gratefulness in the midst of pain. “Erin developed a severe UTI and kidney infection, which sent her into septic shock,” Chad revealed. He further wrote that she is still in the ICU as doctors continue to treat, diagnose, and search for answers. “We would covet your prayers for this beautiful girl who is such a light in a dark world,” Chad added. He concluded and wrote, “We are holding onto God’s promises. -Chad”

​Erin has been suffering from her health issues for several years. Before her first baby was born, she faced three miscarriages. In 2019, the couple opened up about the possibility of them not being able to have more babies in the future. At that time, they were parents to one boy and three girls. In 2021, Erin had to undergo multiple surgeries because of cyst ruptures, which led to the removal of one ovary. Later in 2022, she had her gallbladder removed.
