After him, it’s his son Jedidiah Duggar who happen to walk on the same trail. He contested elections for the same position recently. However, Jed lost to his opponent and surprisingly, none of the Duggars spoke about it. The fans might note that Jed is the tenth child of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar who have nine kids in all.

Jed announced his participation in the elections in November 2019. For a year, he continued to campaign for the position of Republican member on the House of Arkansas. When he first put his election campaign on Instagram, he sought prayers and votes. Moreover, he also added that he is ‘a Conservative. Pro-Life. Pro-Second Amendment. Pro Religious Liberty.’ Thus, Jed stood in the elections on his conservative background. At the age of 21, Jed shared that he desires to work on tax reform. Moreover, he is willing to work towards promoting racial and ethnic inclusion. However, his ideas seemed to fail him in the end.
Jed Duggar Lost To Megan Godfrey, He Is Still Positive About The Outcome
Although Jed tried his best to win, his opponent Megan Godfrey clearly outnumbered him. She won it with the marginal difference to serve her second term. Some people believe Megan’s impressive work during COVID 19 might have got her victory. According to her bio, Godfrey spent ‘fourteen years as a public school teacher, specialist, and director and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in curriculum and instruction at the University of Arkansas.’ Her background is pretty good and that makes it easy for the people to choose her over comparatively young Jed Duggar.
Although Jed didn’t win this time, he is positive about the outcome. He wrote on Facebook, expressing his gratitude to all those who supported him. He further added that though he is disappointed, he is still happy to have come across amazing people and hear their thoughts. Counting On: Duggars Didn’t Respond To The Loss Of Jed
The fans found it odd that none of the Duggars spoke after the election results. Not just this, except Jana and Jason sharing something around the time of elections, nobody else really did promotion for their sibling. It is surprising to see Duggars not supporting their family member in his political campaign. However, we cannot be certain if this is just a facade or something else. It is very much possible that Duggars are sad with the results but they are not expressing anything in public.
