Counting On: Josh Has To Pay $5000 after Failing To Appear In Hearing
Josh Duggar owns a real estate company – ALB Investments. In the recent development, the company lost a lawsuit over a piece of property it purchased in 2016. According to the KNWA report, the above-mentioned company bought a 5-acre parcel of land for $1,000 from a certain man, Edward L. Lewis. However, Edward didn’t have the right to sell the property that he already sold to his cousin in 2006. The cousin, Echols, is consistently paying taxes for the land property since 2006. So it was only unfair to him that Josh owns the property.
Josh Duggar’s Car Lot Business Stands Closed!
On September 30, a court in Benton County, Ark recognized Exchols as the rightful owner. With this, Duggar has to pay $5,000 in legal fees after he failed to show up in September 10 hearing. Back in 2019 too, Josh’s failed to appear in the court. The company was in contempt of court. In November 2019, Homeland Security Agents raided Josh’s now-closed Wholesale Motorcars, a used car lot. They shared about their involvement in some criminal investigation. However, Josh’s name or his involvement in the matter didn’t surface after that. The car-lot is permanently close now, as Google suggests.
