In a surprising turn of events, the parents shared that they wanted to meet up with her to rekindle their relationship. However, fans also pointed out that Amber took a subtle dig at Anna shortly after. Recently, Emma, Alex, and Jonah sat for a confessional.

Jonah openly discussed the siblings’ situation with Anna and shared his opinion regarding the current circumstances. Emma and Alex, on the other hand, looked the least interested in listening to anything and started doing random things. They didn’t give any definite insights about Anna either. The cracks between the two sisters keep growing bigger and more prominent with each passing family drama. At this point, their relationship is nothing but a to-and-fro of accusations and criticisms. Tensions soared high with Leighton’s 1st birthday.

TLC released a video sneak peek into the planning stage of Leighton’s first birthday. The family discussed Anna’s uninvolved status in the family event. True to herself, Liz didn’t budge her decision to snub Anna. She wasn’t even the least bit apologetic. The whole Johnston family is seemingly putting all the blame for Anna’s estrangement onto Anna.

All of them wanted Anna to take responsibility while actively cutting her out of their family planning and family events. The video preview started with Trent and Amber discussing Liz’s decision not to invite Anna. Amber then continued to defend Liz’s decision. The video then cut to Anna expressing her sadness and disappointment at being cut out. “It makes me upset,” she said.

“If she truly wants to be a part of her niece’s life, she would personally make the effort to come and see her and be with her,” Liz said next. Trent then remarked that if Anna were to be there, “it would just be awkward.” Amber then backed Trent and Liz, saying, “Leighton doesn’t even know her.” This particular episode predictably didn’t sit well with the fans.
