Jazz Jennings Took To Instagram To Share Her Happiness

On her accomplishment, Jazz took to Instagram to share the news. She expressed her happiness in being included in the list. The youth inspiration also added that we all must recognize our influence and bring about change in society. She continued: “One day our children, and then our children’s children will be living in this world, so we must make it a more equal and loving place today and for the future!”

GLAAD CEO Comments On The Importance Of Youth Power

GLAAD President and CEO Sarah Kate Ellis told a news tabloid that young people can bring a significant impact. The presenter of the list added that the youth do it when they use their voice and platform to call for a change. She further explained that “this year’s 20 Under 20 list is a true reflection of the changemakers who are advancing the dialogue and accelerating acceptance for LGBTQ people.”

Jazz has also published her memoir in 2016. In that, the transgender activist opened up about how she was “a girl trapped inside a boy’s body.” She explained that as soon as she could articulate her inner thoughts, she began verbalizing her feelings. Jazz finally identified herself as a girl at the age of 2. She even began using hormone blockers at 11 and estrogen in high school. The reality star also mentioned that these things cast a positive impact on her self-esteem.

In one of her interviews, Jazz accepted that she is a pansexual. She has had just one serious relationship to date. Although she is physically attracted to boys, on a deeper emotional level, the girls attract her. She explained: “That’s what it is to be pansexual, you know — loving people for who they are on the inside, no matter their label. Just loving someone.”
