We have enjoyed nearly a decade going through the life of Little People, Big World stars Amy, and Matt Roloff. Watching them raising their four children on a farm they own has been fulfilling. But when things started to unravel between the couple, the focus of Little People Big World also brought the Roloff kids into the limelight. Al four of them are now grown up. Zach is the only one who also has dwarfism. He gets plenty of time on air along with his wife, Tori. However, their sweet life seems to have a little kink. Zach has been diagnosed with a serious health concern that has got Tori scared for him.

Zach has achondroplasia, just like his mother Amy. Even though he can expect to lead a happy and normal life, there are some health concerns that are unlikely to leave his side throughout his life. They include sleep apnea, ear infections that are recurrent, back pain, obesity, and spinal issues. Even in the past, he had opened up about his health concerns. The couple was a little concerned about the health of their baby. Zach got his legs straightened as a child. When he was in his sophomore year of high school, Zach underwent another surgery.

Zach Roloff’s Recent Diagnosis Reveals Degenerative Disc Disease

In a recent episode, we saw that Zach had been experiencing severe pain in his legs and back. The couple has been facing some issues regarding Zach’s health since the beginning. He felt some weakness in his knees and tightening around his thigh area. When Zach went in for a proper medical diagnosis, the doctors revealed that he has degenerative disc disease. The fact that he was experiencing all these symptoms was because his spinal cord had started to narrow.
In the latest episode, Tori revealed that she is really scared of her husband undergoing surgery. Most of the people suffering from achondroplasia develop a degenerative disc disease at an early age. Moreover, the couple is also worried about their son Jackson developing the same problems. He has had some ear infections in the past which is a common occurrence in dwarfism. However, the little baby’s health is optimum at present.

The couple is already apprehensive about their son catching these diseases as he grows up. There is another little girl on her way that the couple is about to welcome in their family. We are yet to see whether she has some form of dwarfism or not. We wish the couple all the best and hope for Zach’s speedy recovery.
