Mama June is celebrating seven months of her sobriety. She is headed to Beverly Hills with her boyfriend, Geno Doak. June Shannon, 41, gained popularity due to her youngest daughter, Alana aka Honey Boo Boo. She showed tremendous transformation back in 2017 after gastric bypass surgery on her show, From Not to Hot. However, soon she fell into the trap of addiction, losing all the progress she made and weighing 258lbs. She also admitted to spending up to $2,500 on meth and crack cocaine with Geno.
Mama June: June Shannon’s Surgery Plans
Mama June from ‘Not to Hot’ claims to have been sober for nearly seven months now. Now, she is headed to California for some cosmetic surgery next week. She is planning to get liposuction on her torso, a tummy tuck, and new veneers. Dr. Michael K Obeng will operate Mama June, and her teeth done by the cosmetic dentist Dr. Tom Kalili. On the other hand, Geno will be getting gastric sleeve surgery by Dr. Samuel Kashani in Beverly Hills. However, his top and bottom teeth would be done by Dr. Tom Kalili. Before their respective operations, the couple happily posed for the camera.
Mama June Celebrates Six Months Of Sobriety
Earlier in August, Mama June shared a video clip on Instagram celebrating six months of her sobriety. Apparently, her manager sent her a blinged-out chip for her birthday. She felt much proud to share this and said that she and Geno are over six months clean now. The couple was in problems related to their drug consumption. They are now removed from their March 2019 arrest in Alabama in connection with crack cocaine possession.
Mama June: Mama June Struggled With Her Meth Addiction
It was a tough time for June dealing with addiction. She admitted on Mama June: Family Crisis her tryst with drug addiction leading her to liquidate her finances. She spoke teary-eyed that the only reason she sold her house was her broken state. Her meth addiction cost her about $2,500 daily, in addition to taking prescription medications. However, now she is back on the right track. She wants to kill the person in her past and we see her getting there!
Despite all the positive changes, June Shannon shares a tense relationship with her children. Her daughters have said that calls go to June’s voicemails and the same happens with Geno too.
