Total Strangers tying the knot seemed impossible unless the hit reality show, Married At First Sight made viewers aware of this new way of finding a life partner. The series continues to go on and due to the immense success, a ninth season is about to hit the screen. The matchmaking special will go on for an hour. An official season premiere will air for two hours following the matchmaking special. In this episode, the contestants will get to know their significant others.
Dr. Pepper Schwartz, Dr. Viviana Coles, and Pastor Calvin Roberson will be the experts guiding them through their unusual marriage. Al the couples are based in Charlotte, North Carolina. Their age group ranges from 27 to 35 years old. Let’s take a look at the participants.

1. Keith Manley and Iris Caldwell
Keith Manley is a 27-year-old man who takes the concept of marriage very seriously. He doesn’t consider divorce an option. His parents managed to keep their marriage intact for 30 years. Jay Z and Beyoncé are his role models and he wishes to be a father immediately after marriage. Iris wants to take things slow. She is also 27 years old and wants to be in a marriage where partners support and uplift each other.
2. Jamie Thompson and Elizabeth Bice
Elizabeth Bice is 29 years old and likes to go with the flow. About two years ago, she couldn’t even think about settling down. She is entering Married At First Sight with an open mind and believes that her free-spirited nature will enable her to adapt. 35 years old Jamie is tired of the modern day dating and is ready to hand his future over to experts. He decides to get a passport only when he finds his one true love and a travel companion.
3. Gregory Okotie and Deonna McNeill
32 years old Gregory is ready to settle down and build a life and a family. Deonna is 30 years old and she is well-settled in her career. She owns a place and has traveled far and wide. Gregory is also sure that the show’s algorithm will work for him.
4. Matthew Gwynne and Amber Bowles
Matthew Gwynne is a basketball player who has traveled a lot due to the nature of his profession. He has had a lot of trouble in the past maintaining long-distance relationships. He wants to hand over the responsibility of finding a true match for him to the experts. Amber is into tall guys and lucky for her! Matthew is the tallest contestant ever on the Married At First Sight. She doesn’t understand why she keeps making the wrong choices when it comes to relationships.
