Mock The Week is making a return on the television screens, but not quite the way fans remember it. After being cancelled by the BBC in 2022, the long-running satirical panel show is set to make a comeback, this time on TLC’s rebranded free-to-air channel.

The revival promises a “new look,” signaling some changes behind the scenes and possibly in front of the camera. Can the show continue the same magic that made it a British comedy institution for more than two decades? Keep reading to find out when the reboot will be released and get all the latest updates about Mock The Week’s exciting reboot.

Mock The Week: A British Comedy Classic Finds A New Home On TLC

Mock The Week initially aired on BBC Two in 2005 and became one of Britain’s most beloved panel shows for its blend of satire and improvisation. It was hosted by Dara O Briain, while the show featured some of the heavy hitters from the British comedy world. Those included the likes of Russell Howard, Frankie Boyle, and Andy Parsons.

After its cancellation, many fans and comedians alike expressed their sadness. This is due in part to Mock The Week being able to launch several comedy careers while shaping the voice of modern satire. Now, Warner Bros. Discovery UK & Ireland is breathing new life into the franchise, with TLC set to become its new home.

Mock The Week: What Can Fans Expect From The 2026 Revival

The decision to bring Mock The Week back is part of a larger content strategy by Warner Bros. Discovery. The company is expanding TLC’s entertainment catalog to include both scripted and unscripted shows, such as The Big Bang Theory and 90 Day Fiance. Amid these, Mock The Week will serve as the centerpiece of a revitalized comedy lineup.

The revival is set to release in January 2026, and Graham Lafferty, SVP of Content Strategy & Networks at WBD UK & Ireland, expressed his excitement about the show’s return. “We are thrilled to announce a new-look line-up for TLC in the UK and Ireland for January 2026, and that we are able to bring the channel to more viewers with a move to free-to-air,” stated Graham through an official statement.

While casting details are still undisclosed, fans would be eagerly hoping to see some familiar faces return. Whether Dara O Briain will return as the host or a new presenter will take over remains to be seen. What is sure to be a sure shot is that the show’s signature wit, satire, and humor will remain intact. For all the latest reality TV updates, stay tuned to TV Season & Spoilers.
