A piece of sad news has befallen My 600-lb Life. The TLC show’s alum Coliesa McMillian passed away at the age of 41 recently. An obituary in her home state of Louisiana confirms the sad demise of the reality star. It read that Coliesa was ‘loving, mother, sister, aunt and friend.’ It further said that she left for heavenly abode on Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2020. However, the cause of death remains unknown. My 600-lb Life: Coliesa Appeared On Season 8 Of The Show
Coliesa appeared on season 8 of the TLC show. Prior to joining the show for her weight loss, she met a heart attack and fiance’s demise. She passed away after suffering from complications in her weight loss journey. This followed just six months later her episode of the show went live. Reportedly, Coliesa weighed around 643 lbs when she first appeared on the show. She already had a heart attack but as doctors said, her obesity made it all the more difficult to get her heart right.
Right after her demise, the network too, released an official statement on social media. It read that TLC is saddened to learn of Coliesa’s untimely passing away who shared her story on My 600-lb Life. The network sent their hearty condolences to the family and other bereaved members.
Coliesa’s Family Comes Forward To Announce Her Demise
Coliesa’s family came out on social media to share this heartbreaking news. They said that she died on Monday morning and they cannot begin to tell how they are feeling. And so, they asked the people to give them their space and respect them. In a comment on this post, a family member stated that the reality star had certain problems resulting from her surgery that caused her death. Back in June, her family shared about her life support after she ‘almost died.’ They also said that the journey ahead would be hard and long. However, she returned to her home in Houston.
The family shared at that time that although she is back home, she is confined to her bed. They added that Coliesa is a fighter who is now in alot of pain. But August and family indicated the worsening health of the reality star. She did have a heart attack previously but was ‘too big to do surgery on.’ And perhaps that resulted in what happened. Nevertheless, we hope that Coliesa rests in peace.
