When Coliesa first appeared on the TLC show, she weighed around 643 lbs. The reality star had suffered a heart attack in the past. According to her doctors, her excessive weight made it difficult for them to operate on her heart. Coliesa herself admitted on the show that she would not survive another attack if she didn’t lose her weight. She further said that her life is simply ‘exhausting’ now. She could feel her life giving up. And so her life gave up, her weight weighed her down, and she passed away.

Family Announces Coliesa’s Demise Via Social Media, Asked For Privacy

The bereaved family shared the sad news via social media. The Facebook post mentioned that the family is in a bad place now and they cannot begin to tell how they’re feeling about their loss. They further urged Coliesa’s fans to give them their privacy. A family member anonymously shared in comments that her weight loss surgery took away her breath.

The family already revealed about her being on life support in June. They told at that time that she almost died following her surgery. However, after some time, she was back home. She was confined to her bed 24/7 but as her family said, she had a long way to go. After all, Coliesa was a fighter. Later, her condition worsened, culminating in her death.

In the most recent development, the McMillian family is struggling with funeral expenses. They’re now seeking help on Go Fund Me page to raise money in order to bury the deceased reality star. They have managed to raise around $35 of the $10,000 they are seeking. When a news tabloid Starcasm reached out to the family for their comments, they said that they hoped her fans would be as generous as Coliesa was when she was alive.
