Coliesa’s mother, Sadie Courville, shared with TMZ on Monday that the family was unable to see the reality star for quite some time. Due to COVID restrictions at the Baton Rouge facility, they were unable to meet her. However, when Coliesa’s eventual death was close, her two teenage daughters visited her. They held her hands and bade their goodbyes. Although the exact cause of death is unknown, an office rep spilled that the star died of natural causes.

Coliesa Appeared On The TLC Show’s Eighth Season

The fans met Coliesa about six months earlier when she first appeared on the TLC show’s eighth season. And right after six months of her feature, she left for heavenly abode. At the onset, she weighed 643 lbs. The doctors knew that she had suffered a heart attack prior to this weight loss program. She had one after her fiance died in a car accident. However, the doctors were unable to fix her heart and operate on her because of her obesity.

McMillian’s family came forward on social media to announce the heartbreaking news. The Facebook post read that the family cannot begin to express how they are feeling at the moment. They shared that the reality star passed away at 10:23, and now, they would want the fans to respect their privacy. They need it now. A family member anonymously commented to share that Coliesa’s weight loss surgery took away her life. The family revealed back in June about her being out on life support. They told that she ‘almost died’ after suffering from some complications in her surgery.

Despite worsening health, the family revealed later that Coliesa was doing better and was back home. She was confined to her bed but she was home and that was all that matters. However, August came, and her condition took a turn for the worst. She couldn’t survive for long and died. After this loss, her daughter paid her an emotional tribute on Facebook, saying that she missed her!
