‘My 600-lb Life’: Dr. Now Asking Steven To Shower, His Stench Making People Puke

Steven and Justin Assanti decided to move forward with their journey of weight loss together. However, they went their separate ways. Justin was doing well but the same wasn’t the case for Steven. Anyhow, the brothers returned for the season finale.

In the beginning, fans were not happy with the way Steven treated his father and brother. Some thought that he might need therapy to get his behavior under control. Dr. Now, soon came to the realization that he was addicted to pain killers. He gave him an ultimatum for bringing his life under control. Let’s take a look at this in detail.

My 600-lb Life: Lack of Progress At Steven’s End

About one year later, the brothers returned to the show. But they decided to meet Dr. Now at different timings. Steven was the first who went to meet him. He also revealed that the brothers live separately and are not on speaking terms with each other.

He thought that he had made some progress as Steven believed that he had been working hard. But to Dr. Now’s dismay, he lost only 4 pounds which was disappointing. But the lack of progress wasn’t the only concern Dr. Now had with Steven.

My 600-lb Life: Dr. Now Gives Steven a Piece of His Mind For Not Showering Well

Dr. Now first asked Steven whether he knew what soap and water are. Then, he told him that Steven’s odor is making people puke outside. Well, Steven’s reaction was even more surprising. He didn’t say anything and just kept on smiling.

When Dr. Now asked when he showered last time, Steven said that it was day before yesterday. However, it didn’t seem like he believed Steven. He made him realize the importance of regular bathing. Steven also revealed that he had an allergy around his stomach area. Dr. Now stated that it was because he wasn’t showering regularly.

My 600-lb Life: Steven’s Lack of Efforts Disappoint Dr. Now

Even though Steven promised that he would take better care of his hygiene, Dr. Now was almost sure that he had a long way to go. He thought that Steven is not taking things seriously. After all, we know how his past experience had been. If that’s any proof, he is not likely to take Dr. Now’s advice seriously as he hasn’t done so in the past.

When Dr. Now discovered that Steven had a pain killer addiction, he had to go to rehab even though he got approved for the weight loss surgery a year ago. Do you think Steven will be able to get back on track this time? Let us know in the comments below.
