‘My 600 Lb Life’: Tracey Opens Up About Her Journey On The Show

Tracey Matthews has given an interesting update on what goes on in the world of My 600 Lb Life. As we already know, the shows production company Megalomedia is likely to be in some legal trouble as it has four lawsuits against it. Besides, other My 600 Lb Stars are lining up to support those who have filed the lawsuits and exposing the grey areas of the show. Let’s take a look at what Tracey Matthews has to say.

Tracey has been active for a few months and has been participating in some QA sessions with fans. One fan asked her about how her leg is and she said that they are smaller now. But she is still suffering from lymphedema. She is better than before but still needs a walker.

Also, in the show, we have seen Dr. Now assert that after skin removal, patients are not likely to experience any pain. But Tracey describes that as the worst pain of her life. Fans are hoping to see her in one of the Where are they now episodes. To that, she said that she hasn’t received a call from the production for it. Fans are also hoping for a reunion episode and so is Tracey.

Tracey Opens Up About Her Journey On The Show

Tracey revealed that the show pays them a talent fee of $1500 for starring. In case, they have to move to a different place, they offer a moving allowance of $2500. However, she went on to explain that they don’t receive any amount unless the show airs. Till then, everything goes from their own pockets. 

Moreover, as for reruns, the reality TV star made it clear that they do not receive any payment even though they can play their episodes a million times. 

How Much Does My 600 Lb Life Pay For Surgery?

The recent lawsuits against Megalomedia have one thing in common. All the alleged victims say that the production company doesn’t cover the medical costs despite promising to do so. Even though they cover the work of Dr. Nowzaradan, but anything beyond that doesn’t come under the compensation. Moreover, Tracey herself had an outstanding medical bill of $20,000 which the show didn’t compensate for.

Tracey already revealed that they try to portray the lives of those featured as precariously as possible. There is a shower scene compulsory for every cast member which most don’t feel comfortable with. She goes on to say not everyone is okay with being nude in front of the camera and a strange man filming the shower scene!
